Great surprise of unexpected visitors

Today, while out shopping Ray called and told me that we were going to have some unexpected visitors stop by and I may want to hurry home...from shopping, I wonder if he was trying to get me home to stop shopping....so upon arriving at home, here's who I saw:

My Great-Nephew Damion and Great Niece Angeliena, and their Mom Katrina (no that's not a "bad" shot of Angeliena, that's her idea of smiling for the camera, it's great, had me in tears laughing so hard)...we had a great time, Damion "painted" my house:

while Angeliena played with the ladybugs:

and then gave Freckles some loving (he's soooo great with the kids....)

We really had a great time, what a lovely surprise, thanks Katrina!!!

Is this a sign of things to come??

In anticipation of traveling, I saw this and thought, "we better get some pretty sturdy luggage".....

Lucky underwear

Your Lucky Underwear is Blue

You are caring and extroverted. You've made relationships your number one focus, and your lucky blue underwear can bring some balance to them.
You thrive in one-on-one situations. You are a good listener and a natural born therapist.

Sometimes you let the concerns of others become too important in your life, leading to stress and worry.
If you want more balance, put on your blue underpants. They'll help you take care of yourself first.

Accidental Adoption...borrowed from Janet

I saw this posted on Janet's blog and I just had to "borrow" it (sorry Janet, but it was too good to not re-post here for my friends and family too)....

"Accidental Adoption"

Have you ever noticed that you hear all the time about "accidental"pregnancies, but never about couples who experience "accidental" adoptions? Can you imagine:

Her: Honey, sit down. I have some news for you.

Him: What is it?

Her: Well, I don't know how to say this, so I'll just come out with it. I went to the mailbox today and... well, we got a 171-H.

Him: A what?!? A 171-H? As in, we're going to have a(nother) baby?!?

Her: It looks that way.

Him: But how? We've been so careful! I put away all the blank I-600A forms. Didn't you hide our homestudy update?

Her: Of course I did, but don't forget, there was that one night..

Him: What night? (pauses) Ohhh, that night, But it was only once. We were just messing around. I didn't print clearly. I didn't even use ink! (pauses again) But it was kind of fun. (giggles). It was, wasn't it?

Her: I'll never forget how cute you looked getting your fingerprints.

Him: So now we've got our 171-H, eh? But that doesn't always mean you'll adopt, does it? I mean, shouldn't you see the agency or something, make sure everything's okay?

Her: I already did.

Him: And?

Her: I'm five documents along.

Him: Five documents! And they're all notarized, certified and authenticated okay?

Her: Just great. There was one small scare when the agency couldn't see the Notary's middle initial but it showed up just fine under the magnifying glass. Thankfully.

Him: And you, honey? Are you feeling okay?

Her: I'm feeling fine. As long as I know you're happy about this.

Him: Happy? I'm thrilled! It's always a shock at first when something like this happens, but of course I'm happy.

Wacky Wednesday: You were born under.....

I am...

You Were Born Under:

You are solid, methodical, and you do things right the first time.

Even when no one else does, you always believe in yourself.

You tend to see the world in black and white, right or wrong.

A good memory and eye for details means you tend to thrive at near impossible tasks.

You are most compatible with a Snake or Rooster.

And Ray is....
You Were Born Under:

You have both a fiery energy and a warm heart.
Your charisma and charm makes it easy for you to influence others.
Lucky in life, you also have a reputation of being lucky in love.
Power hungry, you are determined to get what you want - no matter what it takes.

You are most compatible with a Monkey or Rat.

What breed puppy are you?

Okay it's a little early for the Wacky Wednesday, but I saw this on Elizabeth's blog, and thought, hey what the heck...

You Are a Chihuahua Puppy

Small, high strung, and loyal.
You do best in the city with adults - young kids could crush you!

But now I wonder, I'm not a Chihuahua, ewwwwwwww

Our cyber pal strikes again!!

Since RockYou is being a royal pain in my tushie, I am hoping Blogger will allow me to post the wonderful gifts Chynna received today from our GWCA 7/06-8/06 DTC Yahoo Group...she is so very blessed (crossing my fingers here that this works, as I have spent the last 20 minutes messing with RockYou and it won't post on Blogger, what a pain!!!)....

How beautifully wrapped they are!!

A quacking washcloth, how fun!!

Cute (and practical) washcloths!!

Foam letters and numbers too, she can learn and get clean all at the same time, how fun for all!!

And last but not least, this adorable bunny towel to wrap her clean tushie up!! These are so very great, thanks Cyber pal!!

Okay I admit it, I am addicted....

to the Muppets. Many of you may have noticed, and some of you have expressed your concerns, and I think I may need some help. I am finding myself searching YouTube for Muppet clips, mostly ones involving Kermit. He's just so darned cute, and besides, as he says.....IT'S NOT EASY BEING GREEN....

Maybe this will help my addiction...

Okay maybe not, since Cookie Monster is from Sesame Street, but hey it's not the Muppets, hehehe

St. Patty's Day Fingernails...

Okay as promised here they are in all their glory, my fabulous "glow in the dark" green fingernails, no pinches here!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Why Celebrate Do We Celebrate St. Patrick's Day ?

Saint Patrick's Day has come to be associated with all things Irish, including luck, rainbows, leprechauns, shamrocks, and anything green or gold. It is celebrated by those who merely want an excuse for excessive partying and for those of faith who use St. Patrick's Day as a traditional day for spiritual renewal and prayer.

It is believed that we celebrate this day on March 17th to celebrate the day of St. Patrick’s death. As the Irish immigrated throughout the world, they took their history, beliefs and traditions with them – especially the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th. Although he was born nearly 1600 years ago, his presence is still felt today around the world.

----------------
Now for some humor... O'Reilly's Driving:

O'Reilly, the famous Irishman, is driving home after downing a few too many at the pub. He turns a corner and, much to his horror, sees a tree in the middle of the road.

He swerves to avoid it. Almost too late, he realizes there is yet another tree directly in his path. He swerves again and is terrified to discover that his drive home has turned into a slalom course of trees!

He veers from side to side to avoid all the trees.

Minutes later he hears the sound of a police siren. He brings his car to a stop. The officer approaches O'Reilly's car and asks what on earth he was doing. Shaking, O'Reilly tells the story of trees everywhere in the road.

"Oh for the love of me Saint Joseph! O'Reilly, that's yer air freshener!"

-------------------
And this one I couldn't resist...Croaking:

Little Jacob O'Toole ran up and hugged his grandpappy, Old Seamus O'Toole, and asked, "Grandpa, can you croak like a frog?"

"Begorrah!" exclaimed grandpappy Seamus, "I sure can, ribbitt-ribbitt-ribbit!"

Little Jacob started cheering wildly and hugged his grandpappy and thanked him over and over.

"Goodness child, why in heaven's name is this such a big deal."

"Cuz mommy said that as soon as Grandpa croaks we're going to Disneyland!"

----------------

Now go out today, and have some yummy Corned Beef and Cabbage, with some green beer, but be safe!!! Happy St. Patty's Day!!

P.S. Stay tuned, today's my nail appointment day and green will be the color for the next 3 weeks!!

What Flower
Are You?

When your friends think smile, they think of you. There is not a day that goes by that you can't find something good about the world and your fellow human.

My name is life video

With many thanks to Tracy for sharing this video, it really touched my heart too and I had to share it.

Be forewarned, have Kleenex close by, it brought a few tears to my eyes!!

Another Wacky Wednesday, thanks to Emmie

Okay, I couldn't resist playing along with Emmie, so here's a bonus Wacky Wednesday quiz...

You Are Miss Piggy

A total princess and diva, you're totally in charge - even if people don't know it.
You want to be loved, adored, and worshiped. And you won't settle for anything less.
You're going to be a total star, and you won't let any of the "little people" get in your way.
Just remember, piggy, never eat more than you can lift!

Darn, and I thought maybe I could be "Kermit"...

It's Wacky Wednesday

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, it's that time of the week, the time to do something silly, to take the Wacky Wednesday quiz.

So in honor of our 8th month LID-versary, this week's Wacky Wednesday is "Wacky Fortune Cookie Generator":

Your Fortune Is

Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement.

8th month LID-versary on Wednesday

Okay so tomorrow (which is also Wacky Wednesday) is our 8th month LID-versary.

For all you non-China adoption lingo people, that essentially means that tomorrow will mark our 8th month of our papers being logged-in in China. And at this point we are still many moons away from seeing our gorgeous baby's face (not to speak of actually finally holding her in our arms).

However, we are still trying to stay positive. We just know in our heart of hearts the 18 more months of waiting we are facing at the moment (if the referral pace continues at the pace it's currently at) is actually going to be less, we have faith that the CCAA will speed up the process. Our time will come (and be here before we know it, okay we will know it as well as anyone in the Orlando vicinity who will hear this lunatic of a mother screaming it at the top of her lungs)!!!

Until then, tomorrow is:

I told you so...

Ever get caught??

This picture just made me giggle, kinda like ever get caught doing something you shouldn't be doing????

Oopsie!!!

Final shots all done

Yesterday we got our final Hep. B series shots.

It really wasn't all that bad.

Ray and I were glad to get it over with.

And here I am writing the final check for the shots:

Okay, now we're ready to go to China and bring our Chynna baby home, if only the CCAA would open that door...
