Wacky Wed, What should you be when you grow up?

Man wish I knew this sooner, hehe...guess I just gotta wait til I grow up...

until then guess I'll stay in law...

You Should Be a Social Worker

You are deeply caring and empathetic.
You are able to take on other people's problems as if they were your own.
Sensitive and intuitive, you understand human emotions well.
Helping others gives you the most joy in life. You feel like it's your purpose in life.

You do best when you:

- Have a lot of responsibility
- Greatly impact someone's life with your work

You would also be a good philanthropist or stay at home parent.

You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when

You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when:

10. You get winded from knocking on the door.

9. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.

8. You ask for high fiber candy only.

7. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your balance and fall over.

6. People say: "Great Boris Karloff Mask," and you're not wearing a mask.

5. When the door opens you yell, "Trick or ...." and can't remember the rest.

4. By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.

3. You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.

2. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker.

And the number one reason Seniors should not go Trick Or Treating...

1. You keep having to go home to pee.

No matter, have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN anyway

Wacky Wed, What Kind of Monster are You?

Gee, ain't that nice, Ray now has ammunition....hehe

You Are a Witch (or Warlock)

You are deviously brilliant and a perfect manipulator.
You somehow always end up getting what you want - without anyone knowing you're working behind the scenes.
Crafty and cunning, you can work your way out of any jam.
And it's easy for you to get people to do what you want, whether you're working for good or evil.

Your greatest power: Mind control

Your greatest weakness: Making people your puppets

You play well with: Ghosts

Gotta love it when you come home from a dreary day at work and there awaits two packages for Chynna...

First we had a "lovey" swap in my Worth Waiting for China 2006 Yahoo Group ...and Dianne and Dave sent Chynna these two adorable "loveys"...

they are so very soft and easy to fall in love with....Ray and I can just imagine Chynna carrying them around and loving on them...Thank you Di and Dave from the bottom of our hearts!!

Then in my GreatWall Yahoo Group, this month's cyber shower was anything "B"...and my cyber shower pal Vivianna went above and beyond for our baby girl...

first we opened the "blanket"...it is so soft and has the cutest ladybugs on it....

and then we opened her "barbell rattle"....

and her "binkies" (gotta love the pink and purple colors)....

her five so soft and absorbent "bibs"...

her adorable "barrettes"....

a "book" to read her at bedtime....

and her "bath mitt" to wash her at bedtime...

Vivianna, Dianne and Dave, you all were so very kind to think of our Chynna and to spoil her with all these goodies....she is so very loved before she is even home, and we thank you all for that!!

October Cyber Shower Goodies from Suz and Dan

Came home yesterday, and had some goodies awaiting us for our October Cyber Shower in our Waiting for First Child from Child Yahoo group...Suz and Dan were so very generous and so very crafty (wish I was that crafty)....they made up this really great poem/rhyme:

It's almost time for trick-or-treat fun,
so here are some treats from the land of the sun.

I hope Chynna enjoys all of this stuff,
For such a great holiday you can't have enough!

There are treats for her and treats for you too,
to enjoy them with a smile is all you can do!

Maybe at this Halloween time next year,
our own sweet China "ghouls" will be here.

Happy trick-or-treat cybershower swap!
as we wait for our 1st child until we drop!!!

They made this adorable Halloween Paint Pal with Chynna's name on it....

and I believe they made these adorable candy corn hair clips....

for the sweet tooth factor, sent this pumpkin shaped cookie cutter, with recipes for homemade sugar cookies and icing:

with their wonderful generosity, Chynna will look amazing styling this adorable outfit:

and of course, every little "ghoul" must have a stuffed frog wearing pumpkin slippers....hehe

Thank you again Suz and Dan....you guys sure helped spoil our little Chynna!!

We are so proud of you Ray!!

My hubby has been working quite hard going back to school to get his GED/High School Diploma....studying and going to school at nights, trying to remember that stuff you learned in school...well the week of 9/4 he took the test, three nights long, 3 hrs each night....and he waited and waited, telling me that they said if he gets the large envelope it means he passed, and the small envelope means he would have to take all or part of it over again....

Well Friday, I came home early from work, and in the mailbox was a card from the post office that a large envelope was waiting for one of us from our County....of course I didn't put two and two together, laid the card on the table under the rest of the "junk" mail and went to lay down....unfortunately when I awoke I still forgot about the card and didn't tell Ray about it....then my Mom, who I told about the card (again still didn't know what it was), called our house cuz she may have put two and two together, but didn't want to excite Ray so didn't say anything to him...

Fast forward to Saturday morning....again, air-head me no memory nor mention to Ray, but again my Mom calls (while I am still sleeping) at noon and asks Ray if he or I went to the post office, which is now the first time Ray knows anything about it, and he nonchalantly says "no, but I'll go get it Monday", well Monday was Columbus day so no post office...so poor Ray had to wait until this morning....

Promptly at 8:30 am, as soon as the post office opened, Ray went to the post office and got his large envelope!! Yup, my honey now has his High School Diploma!! He is so tickled pink, and I am oh so proud!!

Almost eaten by gators

You see it's pretty scary to live in Florida, gators all around, no matter where you go, you could end up being in the mouth of one....this past weekend, Ray and I were at the Home Show and somehow we ended up almost being dinner...

First the gator got Ray, but as you can see, he doesn't look too frightened at all, and then he got away without even a scratch...

but then that big out gator got ahold of me....don't I look frightened too?? hehe...and Ray saved me too before I could become gator food...

Okay, truth be told, this is part of the Florida Blue Cross Health Insurance "Blue Tour", we stood in front of the green screen and the gator came to us, we giggled, and giggled, and had a great time!! Thanks Blue Cross for the free photos and good time!!

Secret Pal strikes again, and a peeping tom....

It was so pleasant to arrive home today and find a surprise box awaiting me at home...
eagerly I opened it and the amazing card my Secret Pal always gives me...and first I opened this amazing shirt for Chynna, won't she look darling sporting these frogs??

and then I got these amazing scrapbooking supplies:

and this amazing Halloween cookie cutter and some yummy sprinkles for some homemade cookies:

and then last, but definitely not least my secret pal, definitely knows me, this amazing ceramic frog with a yummy smelling orange candle inside...

thank you Secret Pal, I so can't wait to find out your secret identity and thank you "in person"....you make me smile each and every month with your amazing packages...

Now onto my "peeping tom" story: tonite while I was in the shower, and Ray was in bed, I feel like someone (or something) is staring at me....now without my glasses I can't see real well so I try to ignore this eerie feeling. I peek out the shower curtain and Freckles is sound asleep in the hallway (yup such the guard dog, hehe), and no such luck finding the culprit there (good thing Norman Bates wasn't on the other side of that shower curtain, phew)...I get ready to get the shampoo and there in the window I see the culprit...yup this frog was looking in the window for a peep show, now just so you know he has got to be GINORMOUS for me to see him without my glasses. I had a good laugh and thought so should you, so I quickly exited the shower and grabbed my camera so you all could see this culprit for yourself...guess I really am the Laydfrog!! hehehehe
