This I can identify with
Having a "boy's" name, I get phone calls and even snail mail addressed to Mr. Dannye, it can really be annoying....

In response to the comment you left on my blog: I am also thinking that "as serious as a heart attack" just HAS to be a Southern saying. Too funny huh?
There is something very personal about your name and I can relate that I don't like it when mine is referred to incorrectly. So, I can definitely understand why you wouldn't enjoy being addressed as a Mister!
So how do you pronounce your name? It must be annoying to constantly get that. You should HEAR telemarketers trying to pronounce our last name....hilarious!
My son is only 8 and really annoyed with the fact that he has to correct people that he is a he and not a "she" and we even put a different ending on the end of his name hoping it would help. :o)
Me too. I'm Chris, with a "C" and an "H", not Mr. Chris, or Christopher and no it's not Chrissy, Christy, Christine, Christina, Christa, Christen, and definately not "Just Chris" I'm Chris, and trust me that is all you will need! That's what I tell 'em. Kinda back's them up for a step or two...

I don't get a boy's name but I constantly get, "K or C" - Sometimes when I tell people, I just say, "Kathy with a K"
