Finally Friday, free again, got my motor running for a wild weekend....

Belated thank you to my secret pal....

During the awful rains and winds we got from Tropical Storm Fay, our mailman attempted to deliver a package to our door (unfortunately we weren't home to receive it but fortunately he didn't leave it on our porch or it would have been floating in the water when we got home)....

So it sat at the post office waiting our arrival (well actually waiting for my wonderful husband to go to the post office during the day after he woke up, it's still strange that he works nights), so off to the Post Office Ray went, stood in the long line, and brought it home (isn't he sweet??).

During all this, my work is moving locations (thank goodness cuz it's closer to home for me, less of a commute, thus less gas!! that is always a plus), but this makes me so very tired, we are moving and keeping the law office running at the same time, what a trick that one is...

So those are my excuses of why I suck as a secret pal recipient, my Secret Pal is awesome and I haven't even told them thank you!!

Tropical Storm Fay made her way onshore to Fla. at 5:00 a.m., we are expected to "host" Fay this evening.....let's just hope she doesn't dump as much rain as the weather channels are saying (10 inches, yikes....), there's also the projections that she will get to the other side of Fla. and turn around an "visit" again....

Well, will just have to keep our "eye" on the tv and stay as informed as possible...

Our 7th anniversary......

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary....my how time flies....it seems like just yesterday that I was getting ready to marry my sweetie, the nerves so much so that I couldn't even swallow that piece of wedding cake....

Belated 25th LID-versary

I can't believe I missed it, our 25th LID-versary....I was so focused on our friends getting their referrals, I just blocked out another month closer to our Chynna (but I do always have Chynna on our minds....)

We are another month closer baby girl....can't wait!!

Tuesday night we were fortunate enough to meet some adoption friends, we met Don, Be, and JM, our new friends Alyson and Ford (and Alyzabeth's referral picture, yeah), and our new friend Catherine. We had a great time meeting them.

Then Ray and I went to dinner at Disney's Boardwalk with Don, Be, and JM.

Yesterday I got to spend time at Disney (the Magic Kingdom and Epcot) with my sister Katy, her husband David, her son Adam, and my mom....we had an amazing time, got to ride lots of rides, and had so much fun together....I got to be Adam's riding buddy for all the rides I rode....he is too funny, always cracking me up.

Meeting friends (old and new) for lunch

Yesterday, after getting our nails done, Mom and I went out near the airport and met some friends for lunch. They were picking up Mia their foster daughter for a year from Taiwan, and what a sweet girl Mia is....we had a great time getting to know her and playing catch up with Ginnie, Jay and the kids. We really look forward to spending some more time with Mia during the year she is here with us.

Many thoughts....

Okay, I guess my thoughts are all scattered all over the place today, so this post will be on a variety of topics, kinda like bullets (hey I like that idea, that's what it'll be a bullet post, since I've never done one of those in the over 2 yrs I've been blogging), so here it goes:

- Today is my cousin's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT, hope you enjoy lunch today!!

- I heard through the grapevine that referrals are in the air (Aly and Ford have got to be psyched), but that it is only possibly going to be 2 days this month, thus still leaving us in January 2006, will the wait ever start decreasing??

- Today is also the start of the Olympics, may everyone do well, and we get to see China portrayed in a positive light (instead of all the negativity we've been seeing lately on tv)

- Since the recording of the America's Got Talent, one of the participants suffered a serious injury forcing her group to withdraw from competition. Now, we get to decide who will go to the quarterfinals. One of the Judge's wild card picks is an 11 year old girl who was adopted from China, she is beautiful and talented, and now has a chance for her 15 mins of fame.
